What Happens When You Call Us

We make this easy. Here's exactly what to expect from our first conversation to your first care visit.

1

You Call (or We Call You)

Reach us at 401-402-0076, and you'll talk to a real person—not an automated system. We're ready to listen to your situation, answer questions, and understand what's going on.

2

We Listen & Ask Questions

We ask about your loved one's health, daily routines, support system, and what's concerning you most. No judgment. Just genuine questions to understand the full picture.

3

Free Care Assessment

We schedule a free, in-home or phone assessment with a care coordinator. We'll talk with your loved one, walk through the home, and identify specific care needs and safety concerns.

4

Personalized Care Plan

Based on the assessment, we create a custom care plan—days per week, hours per day, specific services needed. We discuss payment options and benefits that might help cover costs.

5

Caregiver Matching

We match your loved one with a professional caregiver based on personality, skills, certifications, and preferences. You meet the caregiver before care starts.

6

Care Begins (48-72 Hours)

Once you approve, care typically starts within 2-3 days. Your caregiver will introduce themselves, review the care plan, and begin building trust with your loved one.

You're Not Starting From Scratch

We help navigate insurance, benefits, and payment options. We handle background checks, caregiver training, and scheduling. We coordinate with doctors and other healthcare providers. You don't have to figure any of this out alone.

Questions You Might Have

Q: What if my loved one refuses help?

A: This is common. We've found that meeting a caregiver and building rapport often changes minds. We can also start with just a few hours and gradually expand care as trust builds.

Q: How much does home care cost?

A: Costs vary based on services and caregiver qualifications. Most Rhode Island families qualify for Medicaid, which covers much of the cost. We also work with private insurance and offer flexible private pay plans.

Q: What if my loved one has dementia or memory loss?

A: We have caregivers specifically trained in dementia and Alzheimer's care. They know how to communicate, de-escalate, and provide safe, compassionate support.

Q: Can you help with 24/7 care?

A: Yes. We provide care ranging from a few hours per week to full-time 24/7 support. We'll work with you to create a schedule that fits your family's needs.

Q: What if things aren't working out with a caregiver?

A: We listen. If there's an issue, we work to resolve it quickly—whether that's additional training, adjusting the schedule, or matching with a different caregiver.
